Groovemark is a Mac app in development. This page covers this website, the waitlist form on it, what the app sends to us — buying and activating a license, and the free trial — and what you send through the support form. Your recordings never leave your Mac unless you send one to us.

What the waitlist form collects

When you enter your email and press "Keep me posted.", four things are stored:

• your email address
• the date and time
• your IP address
• which of the two forms on the page you used

We use your email only to tell you about Groovemark. It's never sold, shared or rented, and every email has a one-click way out. The IP address is kept to spot abuse of the form, and which form you used tells us which part of the page works.

Where it's kept, and who can see it

The list is kept on our web host, where only we can reach it.

Three companies are involved in running this site and can see traffic to it:

• NixiHost — the web host, where the site and the list live
• Cloudflare — sits in front of the site; sees requests, including IP addresses
• Google — hosts the mailbox [email protected] forwards to, so anything you email us arrives there

Traffic is counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. Help Center videos play from YouTube, which may set its own.

How long it's kept

As long as the list is doing its job — through launch and the announcement, plus a short wind-down after. If Groovemark never launches, the list is deleted and you'll be told.

Getting removed, or asking what's held

Email [email protected] and say so. Your entry gets deleted and you get a reply confirming it. You can also ask what's held about you — for the waitlist, the four things listed above; for a license or a trial, the records listed in those sections — and nothing else.

Buying a license

Payment is handled by Stripe and its Link, the seller; your payment details never reach us. We keep your email, your license key, a scrambled code for the Mac it's activated on (never its name or serial number), its dates and your updates plan's status — to deliver your key and keep the license to one Mac. They're kept as long as the license exists.

The app also checks for updates about once a day, sending your license key and that same scrambled code, so we know whether your updates plan covers the newest version. GP-33 checks about once a day too, sending only its version number.

The free trial

We keep your email, a scrambled code for your Mac, how many free exports you've used, and the IP address code requests come from — to send your code and hold one trial per email and per Mac. They're kept while that's needed. Sending a code is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, governed by Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

The license server runs on Cloudflare, and key and code emails are sent through Amazon SES.

Support requests

When you send a request through the support form, we keep your email, your answers and the diagnostic report you attach — the app's log, never your audio — to help you, and only for that. The form accepts only an email that has a license or a trial with us, and is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Your request emails us; your reply comes from [email protected]. If we ask for a recording to improve Groovemark, you send it through a private link; we use it only for that and delete it from our server within 7 days.

Changes

If this page changes, the date below changes with it and the change is described in plain English. No silent edits.
