How licensing works

What it is

You buy Groovemark once, and it's yours to keep. Every license includes a free year of updates: which includes new features and updates as they come out. After your first year, updates are $5 a year. If you stop, your copy keeps working, exactly as it is; it just stops getting new versions.

Your key

After you buy, we email you your license key. Keep that email; it's your record of the key.

Bought from inside Groovemark? There's nothing to paste: finish paying in your browser and Groovemark unlocks itself on that Mac. The key email still arrives, as your record.

Bought on our website? Open Settings, choose license, paste the key and press Activate.

One license, one Mac

A license works on one Mac. Moving to a new Mac? Reply to your key email and we'll move it for you. To use Groovemark on two Macs, buy a second license.

Buying from inside Groovemark activates the Mac you're on. To buy a copy for someone else, buy it on our website.

Updates and renewing

Your updates plan renews by itself each year. The license tab shows the date your updates run until.

If your updates end, the license tab says so and offers Renew updates — $5 a year. Renew whenever you like; your year of updates starts that day.

Refunds

Our refund policy is on our Terms page.

What we never do

We never lock you out of the copy you bought. Activating sends your key and a scrambled code for your Mac, never its name or serial number, and never your recordings. A license check never stops an export that's already running.
