Minimum Requirements
- A Mac, Apple Silicon (M1 and later) or Intel — both are supported.
- macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
- Room on your drive for your recordings (see below).
- An internet connection, to look up album details (they make for more accurate cuts) and, during the free trial, to export. Your recordings never leave your Mac.
A note for Intel Mac owners
Apple has said macOS Tahoe (26) is the last version that runs on Intel Macs, and that Intel Macs will keep getting security updates for a few years after that. Groovemark runs on Intel today and will keep shipping for it while Apple does. When that road ends, it ends on Apple's schedule, not ours — and we'll say so here well ahead of time.
Disk space
The app itself is about 220 MB. Your recordings are bigger.
A full album recorded as one lossless file runs roughly 400–700 MB for a single LP and about twice that for a double. While we work, we keep a copy of your recording plus the finished tracks, so plan for about three times the size of your recording free while a record is in flight. Once you save the album, we clean up after ourselves and give that space back.
